Operational safety

Operational safety is the management of safety during operation. It ensures conformity with nuclear, radiation and long-term safety, HSE, security and safeguards requirements during nuclear operation.

Operational safety aims at sound operating conditions, prevention of accidents and mitigation of accident consequences. The objective of operational safety is to protect the health and safety of the personnel and the public in all circumstances in nuclear operation.
